Vince is best known for his immensely popular mod Top of The World. As the first exterior house mod, Top of The World broke through all the limitations of Oblivion modding by having an interior in an exterior cell without the problem of the weather raining or snowing inside.

Vince also created a remarkable new tool for Oblivion modders called the HMTK, The House Modders Tool Kit that enables the creation of new meshes without the expense and complexity of 3DS Max and the difficulty of Blender. This tool, although requiring some effort to learn, opens up such new possibilites for the average modder.

As an active and respected member of the ORE Forums Vince has been giving training in Wings3D as well as compiling tutorials from those classes.

Location- Located on the side of a cliff in the Jerall Mountains, south east of Bruma.

Rooms- Two room house with kitchen, dining and sleeping area upstairs. Downstairs is a further bedroom.

Main Storage- Misc chests, chests of drawers individually accessible drawers.

Special Features-

Quest- Fix up the house by cleaning, repairing and tidying. Incredible view over the Imperial City and Cyrodiil. Make yourself a cup of coffee.

Notes- You need to be a level eight to receive the full benefit of completing the house.

LAKEVIEW by Vince Bly

Location- On the shore of Lake Rumare, southwest of the Imperial City.

Rooms- One room house with dining, bed and lounge areas.

Main Storage- Throughout the house there are 3 chests, 3 barrels, a cupboard, a wardrobe and drawers.

Special Features- Waterfront with view of the Imperial City, walled garden, vegetable garden, well, small basement, patio with sitting area and small dock.

Quest- Kill the witch living in the basement to get the key to the house.

TOP OF THE WORLD By Vince Bly

Location- Sitting on top of the Imperial City Palace tower.

Rooms- One room house with sleeping area, dining area, study area. Below is a ‘companion waiting’ rooms for companions.

Storage- Barrels, wardrobes, drawers, chests and cupboards around the house and 2 display cases.

Special Features- This is an indoor/outdoor house, so you can actually see out of the windows. Incredible views all round, additional small camp accommodation near Aleswell for those who cannot afford the house. You can choose to install the house either furnished or unfurnished. All lights including the fireplace can be turned off and on.

Buyable- From the Copious Coinpurse in the Imperial City Market District for approximately 20,000 to 25,000.

ALTERNATIVE ANVIL DOCKS by Vince

This modder's resource consists of three modified versions of the original Oblivion mesh anvildock01.nif. While both pilings protrude above the dock surface in the original, one or both are flush with the surface in the modified forms.

THE HOUSE MODDERS TOOL KIT by Vince Bly

The House Modder's Tool Kit (HMTK) provides a way to create new content for Oblivion without having to master a 3D modeling program like Blender. It is not for everybody. Besides a basic understanding of NifScope and retexturing, to get full benefit from the HMTK will require substantial effort on your part, although considerably less than learning a program like Blender or 3ds Max.
