Welcome to the new ORE!

A place for us all to relax, browse some houses and videos and enjoy the many features of this site.

For the past few years we have operated with a membership program designed to help with the site costs. Over the past year I have been phasing out the memberships. Before I continue I just want to say to those who have had memberships that we all have really appreciated your support and the site has been here for almost four years now due to you.

Well it has been a long time now but the memberships have now run their course and at this point I would like to reopen the site as it was intended to be, free and open to all. So from this moment on everyone will have access to every area (Except ‘Admin’ area where I keep broken link homes and other misc site stuff) and to the over one hundred walkthrough videos. While my video making may never win me an oscar, checking out a walkthrough video of a home before you download is a pretty cushy way to hunt for that perfect home. So enjoy!

The results of the Castle Homes Challenge are in! Entrants had three months to make a full castle and at the very end we had ten brand new castles entered.

The Judges deliberated for days, but finally we had the results. The Castle chosen as the winner of the Oblivion’s Real Estate Castle Homes Challenge is:

Castle West Weald by Trollf

This beautifully built and decorated castle is located just off the main road, between Skingrad and the Imperial City. Surrounded by thick woods the castle is well defended with two portcullises and it’s own regiment of guards with custom livery.

Just inside the walls of the castle there are very beautifully landscaped gardens and a small village. Inside the main keep itself every room is beautifully lit and decorated. The throne room is particular is lit from a large skylight through which you can see outside, a very unique concept.

Overall the details and solid craftmanship of this castle really speaks for itself, it is extremely well made. Very much worth a download and very much a keeper.

These are mods that do not meet the requirements for a Gold Shield Mod however are outstanding. As you all know by now a Gold Shield mod MUST have a fully custom exterior and interior and that exempts some exceptional mods.

Silver shield mods will be far more plentiful then the exclusive Gold Shield category, which remains as a mere handful of truly exceptional mods.

There are quite a few Silver Shield mods on the site now so keep an eye out for them. The story behind the shield mods is that I have been asked many times over the years to introduce a recommended mod section. Although I believe that houses are very much personal preference and choice, I have decided to bow to the will of the majority and introduce a way of recommending mods. Hence the shield mods. But I do urge you all to also take a good look at non shield mods as you will miss some gems and maybe even that perfect house for you. However the shield mods are there for those that would like the large selection pared down.

This stunning home is located in the Shivering Isles, just outside and a little down from Bliss. Inside are numerous rooms including a few based on the seasons. Beautifully decorated throughout, the creator has used lighting to create stunning atmosphere that changes from one room to the next. Add to that the beautiful and artful placement of decor and the whole house is visually gorgeous.

There is much storage, in particular many display cases. A few staff also reside there, as well as a companion for you. All in all this house is a beautiful work of art that must be seen to be truly appreciated.

Ever so often a house mod is released that truly sets a new standard in Oblivion house modding. Abandoned Mountain Shack is such a mod. Created by Vince, an ORE ‘Hall of Modders’ modder.

Stumble across an abandoned shack and set to fixing it up and making it your own! You will need to clean, tidy and repair the shack back to a livable state. Performing each task leaves you with a real feeling of accomplishment as you observe the results. You really feel like you are earning this house.

After all the hard work is done, you get quite a bonus that adds even further decoration to the cosy house. Then you can make yourself a cup of coffee to your taste and sit back on the porch swing chair looking out over the remarkable view.

This is an exterior house which means, incredible views from inside the house. Worried about security? No problem! On the inside of the front door is an animated locking bolt. Rain inside the house. Nope, the author has solved that issue as well.
